Placements in VIT are a lot more promising than placements in SRM but you can't expect too much of them. Three students in VIT last sure got a place in a core company for a sum of 2000000 rupees while the rest got placed in marketing or it firms. Same is the scene in SRM only that lesser number of core companies visit SRM during the placement season. It all narrows down to one thing if you don't want your college life to be too harsh on you and want to have fun you should join SRM but if you want better placement VIT should be the choice you make. If you want to go and study abroad you can go with any of your choices have both SRM and VIT offers various programs to send the students to foreign collaborating colleges. Now, as far as the fee is taken into account, you will have to pay more at SRM in comparison to VIT not only for education and course material but also for hostel and living facility. Choose well!
