Here are the details and insights I'll share with you, college wise. Bangalore Institute of Technology- The placements for Computer Science in this college is at its best, with major recruiting companies such as Tech Mahindra, Mu Sigma, HP, Accenture, VM Ware, etc offering an average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum, while the highest package goes up to 9 lakhs per annum. It is a great place to study CSE. Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) - The placements for Computer Science at Sir MVIT were really good till 2014, when Amazon recruited 2 students with packages of 16 lakhs per annum. Unfortunately, Amazon has stopped visiting our campus and the highest package has dropped down to 9-10 lakhs per annum. The average salary package offered has also dropped down from 3.5/4 lakhs per annum to 2.5-3.5 lakhs per annum. I am in my seventh semester at Sir MVIT, and have seen a plunge in the starting salary being offered by recruiters, even the ones who show up every year. I would personally advise you to choose BIT over Sir MVIT. Do let me know if there's anything else we can help you with. All the best!

Both colleges that you have mentioned here give a neck to neck competition to each other. Let me start by giving you an overview as to why you should and why you should not go to MVIT: It has managed to maintain a good placement record over the years and has a huge campus , with having individual buildings for each and every branch. Also, the college seems to be a little lenient about the attendance, which attracts many number of students. But at the same time the college being located at a distant location near the airport and having an average infrastructure is the reason why you should not consider going to MVIT while BIT Bangalore is located in the heart of the city. I heard that the computer science branch in MVIT is a little better than its competitor but for the core branches BIT should be your choice. Also the hostel facilities at MVIT IS a lot better than at BIT Bangalore although the College Fest AT BIT Bangalore is far more superior. Hope you make the right choice. Cheers.
