THAPAR and PEC University are almost parallel and all depends on factors. Average salary at THAPAR at par to PEC University. PEC fees is less than THAPAR.

According to my views and experience, PEC University is the best university for the mechanical courses. In this university, you can get good placements. And, good companies come here for the placement cell. You can get good companies here for the placement. This college has good infrastructure and peaceful environment too.

Both the colleges are equally good, but to be specific one should go for Thapar University, as it would provide better faculty, placement and surely a good all round exposure. I hope it helps! Thank you.

Punjab Engineering College University of Technology is far better than Thapar University and below you may find the reasons supporting my statement: 1. The acceptance rate at Punjab Engineering College is lower than that of Thapar University, hence you can expect better student quality in Punjab Engineering College than in Thapar University. 2. The intake of students in Thapar university is much more than in Punjab Engineering College that being more than 1500 for Thapar and around 600 for PEC. 3. The average placement package considering all the branches in Punjab Engineering College is higher than that of Thapar University i.e. 7 LPA while for Thapar University, it is around 6 LPA. 4. The tuition fee which you will pay at Punjab Engineering College is 4 lakh rupees while for Thapar University, it is 16 lakh rupees. Hence, by every means, I would recommend you to go for Punjab Engineering College as it has much more scope for you. Hope this helps. Cheers.
