Computer science is the study of automating algorithmic processes that scales a computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems. B.Tech CSE graduates have excellent exposure to computer programming, computer architecture, data structures, operating systems, computer graphics, RDBM, computer networks, data warehousing and data mining, software engineering, mobile computing, embedded system, artificial intelligence, E-Commerce and ERP and network security, etc. B.Tech computer science graduates are trained to take any of the technology stack path.Majority of IT companies bifurcate their freshers in .NET, Java or Mainframe development as per their need. Developers may not have the choice of technology. Therefore, it is suggested that you may avoid choosing a technology because that will restrict your career. You may become a technology agnostic developer.

Well, there no single choice between any technologies, there is always a trade-off. What I mean is, both are good in many aspects and not in others but this is obviously a personal choice. But I will help you by providing some points so that you can choose as per your interest. Android Developer You have to learn Java Market Share of Android is huge (78% by 2015) Apps deployed to the Google Play store are available for download by users within a few hours, so you will have impact and interesting always as a developer to see work live. Never going to die in future, always going to grow to next level. Less jobs compared to ASP dot net developers. ASP.NET Developer You have to learn C#/VB.NET and JavaScript technologies Web Development using ASP dot net is easy and small learning curve but the market share of this technology has gone down since arrival of asp dot net MVC In future, projects are going to become legacy as new technologies like asp dot net core 1.0 is launched, need to adapt. You might always be working in service based industry and very narrow chances of seeing your work online, or doing well in e-commerce kind of website (I doubt this). If you have the choice, and want to start from scratch I would recommend Android development.
