it totally depends on u. from my point of view i ll prefer btech in civil engineering due to more job prospects in govt sector. after doing ur btech from civil engineering u ll have more options than b.arch. u can give gate, ies. or if u want to go in management field den u can give gre, cat, xat. so all over i ll prefer b.tech in civil engineering den b.arch. best of luck

Both the courses have opportunities if done sincerely. Here the two fields appear to be related. But, what I feel is that civil is the basic need, it naturally possesses wider scope. In spite of all these selection of the field the decision should be based on one's interest as well as skills.
