As you do not want to study after graduation, BCA will be a better career option. It is in fact the most accepted graduation degree for entry level IT jobs. Without PG, you will have difficulty in career progression. You are advised to revisit your decision of not doing PG.

B.Sc IT: It is a degree course of 3 years. It can be considered as a simple academic course. This course mainly deals with soft computing and placing of mathematical and theoretical concepts. Moreover, students of B.Sc Information technology learns about programming language, algorithms, Computer Architecture and organization, Data Algorithms, Data Structures and dealing with new techniques and boosting them to invent new ones. Here, the student also learns details about hardware components of the computer and apart from that also about Database Management Systems, C Programming, Computer Fundamentals, UNIX and Java Programming etc. Opportunities: After completing this course, one can get higher education and be a lecturer or get absorbed in various IT and software companies. You can appear in GATE to get admission to M.Tech courses after completing M.Sc in computer Science or even directly pursue M.Tech after doing B.Sc in IT. Some sectors, where a student of computer Science can get absorbed easily are Banks, Database Management Companies, Consultancies, Design Support Firms, E-Commerce Industry, Data Communications Companies, Order Processing, Simulations Manufacturers, Stock Exchange and in Universities Eligibility: You should have passed class 12th with minimum 50% marks and having Maths, Physics and Chemistry as their primary subject. BCA: Bachelor of computer application is also a degree course of 3 years. In this undergraduate programme one learns about operating system, DBMS, Digital, electronics and many more areas of networking and IT systems. This is more of a professional course type and here one also learns about management of business and accountancy. So, we can say that this course acts as a boundary between both technical and business field. This course implements the ideas in both the fields and helps to develop these sectors. Opportunities: after passing this three year course, there are very good and abundant gates that open up for your career. You can apply for MCA after the completion of BCA or else work in various corporate companies such as WIPRO, TCS, etc. Where you get hired as software technique. Eligibility: At least 50% marks are required in class 12th boards to get admission in this course, but Maths has to be one of the compulsory subjects in your intermediate course.
