B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) is a four-year course whereas BCA is a 3-year Bachelor's degree in computer application. Syllabus of B.Tech is much more vast than BCA. In terms of career prospects, both are good to get a job in IT or other related fields, but the scope of B.Tech is higher than BCA.

It really doesn't matter as the syllabus for both would be more or less same. Only caution to be taken is that it should be a regular course from a UGC recognised university.

Syllabus of BCA and BSc IT is similar up to 80 to 90% in various universities. Courses on Computer languages, data structure, databases, and networking etc are common. BCA degree course program is primarily focused on in the field of Computer Applications, whereas B.Sc IT degree program primarily focused on subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasising specific technologies. Market acceptance of BCA is little more in comparison to B.Sc IT. Both degrees can only help you to get only entry level jobs and will require acquisition of PG degrees such as MCA and M.Sc IT for a meaningful career.
