Web design is the creation of Web pages and sites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other Web languages. Web design is just like design in general. It is the combination of lines, shapes, texture, and color to create an aesthetically pleasing or striking look. To be a good designer you need to have creative abilities and good aesthetic sense. More concentration is on graphics, images, audio and video for presentation of information. Web Development involves both web design aspects as well as programming part of website, its communication with the backend database, security, data encryption and communication with other applications. To be into web development, you need to have good expertise in programming languages like XML, Java, advanced Java, JavaScript, Asp.Net etc. alongwith tools like Flash, Adobe etc.
