Bachelor of Commerce is designed to enhance the ability to learn as the students study variety of subjects: accountancy, business administration, finance, economics and industrial policies. This course equips one with the analytical, communication and problem-solving skills to effectively identify issues, source information and to find efficient and practical solutions. After B.Com the students can avail exciting and diverse post graduate opportunities like MBA, law, international studies, designing/merchandising, MBE, M.Com finance, economics, etc. Which will set them apart from the crowd and prepare them for success in the global marketplace. The industry takes them at par with the students having professional degree like BBA hotel management, etc. And sometimes at higher platform if someone is from reputed college. All most all universities and colleges in India offer B.Com degree, therefore, chances of getting into the course is higher. Bachelor of Business Administration, on the other hand, is a professional course, and it is offered by a few universities and of these, only a handful of colleges / institutes offer quality course. Choosing the right institute is key to landing up in a good job. The BBA course is tailored in consultation with representatives from leading organizations, ensuring that you graduate with an industry-relevant degree. Students get practical experience, read assigned materials, attend seminars, and prepare an internship report. Students are encouraged to attend leadership training workshops and conferences; including, but not limited to, public speaking, group dynamics, and problem solving, and evaluating techniques. These skills not only help to fetch a good job, but also, the students remain at an edge over others while studying MBA. However, all this happens only when the students get into a reputed college. After BBA the students can get into marketing, human resource, general management, finance, etc. This course, however, restricts the students from other postgraduate study opportunities. If you are satisfied, please up vote the answer.

Both BBA and B.Com have their own merits and de-merits. It depends entirely on the student's areas of interest before choosing one. If making a career in management is your priority, then you should go for BBA as it the foundation for management and has been specifically designed for MBA aspirants. B.Com on the other hand, is much more diversified and has a wider scope for specialization for post graduate study.

It depends on you, in which field you want to pursue your career, both fields have different career opportunities. I would suggest you if you are commerce student then continue with that stream if you are not interested in commerce stream then do BBA. If you want to do MBA in finance, marketing, banking and financial services then B.Com is a better course for you. In B.Com you will study these subjects as per your interest so you got an idea about the subject and that will you help in your MBA. BBA: BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) is one of the most sought Bachelor degree programmes after class 12th. It includes complete knowledge of leadership and management. BBA degree allows the candidates to enter in the field of management. This degree teaches the students various aspects that are necessary for effective business management and essential for entrepreneurs and business managers. BBA specializations: Finance Marketing Operation Human Resources (HR) Accounting Supply Chain International Business Logistics and Supply Chain Organizational Behavior Planning Retail Strategic B.Com: This is the general degree that spans over a period of 3 years that you can pursue after completing your class 12th commerce. Having a normal B.Com degree proves quite handy even if you are pursuing any of the professional courses. It is always beneficial to complete your graduation that may help you later on if you go for higher studies. List of few universities which are doing good : Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.

BBA is for only management but doing B.Com, you can do MBA or M.Com. That is, you have a choice while doing B.Com but BBA is good for the mind of accountants.

If you have the mind of an accountant, then B.Com will suffice, your higher education opportunities might include M.Com and MBA apart from other courses. If you have a business mind, BBA will do, but If your destination is an MBA any degree will do.
