B.Tech in food technology has a good scope because in India, FMCG sector is growing and every FMCG company needs food technology candidate, good companies are Parle agro, Mondelli India, Nestle, Britania, Marico, Godrej, Amul and many more. You can work also in dairy industries as more dairy units in India are expanding their projects. B.Sc is always preferred in industries. B.Sc candidates easily get jobs than any B.Tech graduate.

Both are very good in terms of choice of subjects but I will suggest you to go for B.Tech course over B.Sc from a good university or college. The first thing is that a B.Tech graduate can always apply for a nontechnical job in any sector which needs a graduate candidate, but a B.Sc can't get a job where the market needs a technical graduate. And nowadays, FMCG sector is growing in India and in the world day by day. So in my view, B.Tech in food technology is surely the better option.
