Which course options has better career prospects : BBA or BCA?

This question is like comparing apples with oranges. BBA as the name suggests is a business management graduate program whereas BCA is a technical program aimed to give a practical exposure to the candidate. Both have immense prospects especially in today's world where there is a demand for STEM (Science /Technology/ Engineering/ Management) professionals. Coming to the contents of these programs and the general career progression- is a precursor a career in business management. Depending on the candidate's interest, sales/marketing/ops/ IT or finance can be taken. Entry level jobs in SMEs as well as can be expected- ranging from a business analyst, project associate, financial analyst, junior associate etc. On the other hand, it opens up a plethora of opportunity in system and software administration, data analysis, programming and technical support.

BBA is a management course while BCA is a technical course in the field of computers. The concepts of BCA are easier for students having done their 10+2 in science subjects while for others, BBA is better. Both BBA and BCA are launch pads for graduate level degrees and open the doors for great careers in many industries. BCA course is technical oriented where in variety of computer related subjects or technical subjects that the candidate is going to study and thereby he is going to have good number of job opportunities in various IT companies soon after the completion of BCA course. BBA involves variety of subjects which are related to business and management oriented. These people can have job opportunities in all the business sectors. After completion of BCA, it is prudent to enroll in MCA which is technical degree equivalent to BE and opens the doors for lucrative job options in all industries. After BBA it is always advisable to go for an MBA as it not only increases career opportunities. It also makes a student preferable by all sorts of industries.
