B.Ed is the course whereby you can become a school teacher. However, M.Sc is a Master’s degree. In terms of value M.Sc has more value. If you wish to become a school teacher then you can pursue B.Ed. But along with that you must clear the SET exam too. However if being a school teacher is not your aspiration then certainly M.Sc is a better option. If you have passion for teaching then after M.Sc you can appear for NET exam. You will then be eligible to teach at the college level. You can also later take up a Doctorate if you desire. If you have the option to study further then certainly you must take a Master’s degree.

It's simple and interesting also. I would like to say that if you want to go for teaching, then apply for B.Ed from regular mode. It is my advise to do your M.Sc from regular mode and B.Ed from distance mode so that you will get dual benefits. But be sure you are capable enough to do both together.

If your aim is to become a teacher (Higher Secondary Teacher), then B.Ed is necessary. If you have M.Sc, you can be a professor in Junior College or Senior College. For High school, B.Sc + B.Ed is good. But if want to go as higher as Junior College or Senior College, you must have a PG I.e. in your case, it will be M.Sc. So, do M.Sc after B.Sc first and then B.Ed. Or, you can pursue B.Ed through distance learning mode or from open university simultaneously. But, if you want to go in the field of research, then B.Ed is not mandatory. M.Sc is acceptable. You can be research fellow, Scientist, etc. So, choose accordingly. Good luck.

After B.Sc, B.Ed would best for entering the teaching field, but otherwise you should choose M.Sc. So, it depends on what you want to do.
