If you are thinking of becoming a pilot, you need to have pass 10+2 from a recognized board university, with physics and Mathematics, now days the minimum marks criteria is 60 percent aggregate in physics and Mathematics. Initially, you need to clear Class 2 Medical test and there after seek a class 1 Medical examination date from any AFCME centre from India. Once you clear that, you need to figure out from which Aviation academy you will commence your flying . Different stages of CPL are - 1. Student pilot license 2. Private pilot license 3. Instrument rating 4. Commercial pilot license. multi engine add on. During different stages, you will have to clear DGCA examination, the subjects would be Air regulation, Meteriology, Navigation, specific, Technical, human performance and limitations, Radio aids. DGCA cut-off marks for these examination are 70 percent. You need to really focus on your ground studies as well as the practical flying for clearing these examination. A total of 250 hrs of flying is the requirement to get your CPl license with you. You need to also Clear your RTR examination, Part 1 and 2. And have to clear English proficiency with minimum of 4 rating. Your CPL is valid for 5 years, ELP for 3 years and RTR can be converted to life long validity period. All the best.
