For campus placements here, CS is better but for government job preparation or other jobs, mechanical is better.

It is depending on core or non core company. Core company takes few students as compare to non core company. All IT, CSE related company are non core hence mechanical has less placement than CSE and IT.

Computer science jobs have high packages. But don't choose another option because this question is related to your career. Whichever field you are interested in, should be chosen for the best future.

IT branch of engineering has good placements and also with good packages. CSE comes in at second position. But I would recommend you choosing a branch you can pursue with interest.

I think all the 3 specialisations have good scope. But these days CSE is best for placements.

In B.Tech every branch has equal job opportunities. It depends on your academic performance. Mechanical branch has good prospects in the government as well as in private MNCs. But CSE and IT branches get high packages in the private IT industry. So it depends on your interest and skills. Choose wisely.
