Scope of EEE graduates is lesser in comparison to ECE graduates because electrical engineers are employed in electrical power generation and distribution firms. Operations and maintenance roles in manufacturing and services industries but ECE engineers can be employed in electronics industry, telecommunication, IT and ITES industries besides on all jobs where EEE graduates can be employed. ECE engineers are employed in following type of roles: (a) Maintenance and operations role in electronics, telecommunication equipment manufacturing companies. (b) Maintenance and operations role in manufacturing companies (c) Maintenance and operations role with Telecommunications service providers (d) Testing, quality control and supervision of the deployment of electronics and telecommunication devices (e) Design engineer and R&D role in telecommunication, analog and digital electronics, networking, embedded systems, VLSI, signal and image process, etc. (f) Independent consultant after experience in the field mentioned above. (g) Management of computing and network infrastructure in IT and data centres (h) Software development for embedded systems. (I) Indian engineering service and other government jobs (j) PSU (k) Defence and paramilitary forces (l) DRDO and ISRO, etc.
