IT AND CS both are same till 3rd year but in 4th year Cs student is study about hardware and software both but in IT only software. This is only reason to diffrentiate it and cs so cs is preferred over it and bettet salary is of cs

It is your area of interest which will be giving you good salary because when you have interest then only you will be able to give your best inputs and then only you will be able to gain the knowledge. So believe in yourself and capabilities instead of just flowing blindly where all other idiots are flowing. Try to live for your own dream and not for somebody else.
