The scope of ECE is same as CSE i.e. very high, but for government jobs, electrical engineering is better than EC because it is a core branch so it has more opportunities in public sector.

ECE and EEE are the branches which sound quite similar. EEE-EEE actually goes deeper than just "motors & generators". You also learn more about electromagnetics & how high-frequency signals operate - this is the black-magic that's required to design computer & wireless Systems, one can make more money as an EEE. ECE: Here, it deals with Electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems. As far as scope is concerned, both EEE and ECE are evergreen branches. ECE students can get into IT sectors easily, while the demand of EEE students is high in core companies. Personally, I feel that the stream might be unique but the only thing a student should focus on is the future goal. Once, he is sure with that, he can then choose the stream of his choice. So Finally I suggest ECE branch rather than EEE and it also depends upon your choice whether to choose ECE branch and shift to either (software, core) or else go deeper with the subject and choose EEE branch and target a job in the core companies.

Greetings from SHIKSHA. Since both courses are very good in terms of training education Placements research and higher studies. But talking about the current scenario Electrical Engineering has some better scopes than Electronics and Communication Engineering in our country in terms of Placements. Talking about Electrical Engineering, it deals with Electrical technology, circuit, electronics, electromagnetism, electrical engineering materials, instrumentation and control systems of the machine and system transmission and distribution of power etc. And, talking about the electronics and Communication Branch, this branch deals with, basic electronics, electronics devices, microprocessors, digital and analog communication, integrated circuits, satellite communication, wave progression, mobile Communication etc. Thus both branches are really having very good scopes in every terms. But, considering placements, Electrical Engineering has better scopes than Elle and Communication Engineering. Many industries give jobs to Electrical Engineers and many It Companies give jobs to Electronics Engineers.

Both are pretty good fields and scope is also similar. It depends on what you want to do in future. EEE engineers focus on the analysis, design, development and manufacture of the electrical equipment, electronic devices, mechatronics technologies, and automation and control systems. Electrical Engineers deal with power generation and transmission systems. EEE engineers, design circuits for electrically operated vehicles, computers, digital devices, electronic memory storage devices, industrial robots and CNC machines. EEE Engineers setup & operate the telecommunication, wireless and internet networks. Electronics and Communication Engineer engage in research, design, development and testing of the electronic equipments used in various communication systems. In the electronics sector, you could work in roles such as design engineering (designing a product or component prior to launch) or applications engineering (supporting a product for its entire life). There are n number of jobs always available in the ECE domain. Different sectors in ECE are: Embedded systems Networking Digital signal processing Hardware design Antenna design

EE: Electrical Engineering branch deals with electrical technology and machines, circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetism, electrical engineering materials, instrumentation, control systems, power engineering and transmission and distribution. ECE: This branch mainly deals with analog transmission, basic electronics, solid state devices, microprocessors, digital and analog communication, analog integrated circuits, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression. It also deals with the manufacturing of electronic devices, circuits, and communications equipment. Personally, I think ECE is a very vast field, spanning many sectors of engineering compared to EE. EE is more focused on certain things, while ECE is very diverse, literally. You can go opt from a variety of careers and profile after an undergraduate in this stream. ECE is quite better than EE and it has better scope in future also. Through ECE you can go into a job of IT sector or in the electrical sector also. All the best!

Almost 60% of the syllabus is same for ECE and EE, but the core subjects are different. Main difference between the 2 are as follows:- 1) EEE actually goes deeper than just "motors & generators". You also learn more about electromagnetics & how high-frequency signals operate - this is the black-magic that's required to design computer & wireless systems, one can make more money as an EEE. 2) ECE: Here, it deals with electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force. Also it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems. Government Jobs: Almost every PSU recruit through GATE examination. If you see vacancies for EEE and ECE, EEE have more vacancies and the number of students appearing GATE is less than ECE. So EEE people has an edge here. Private Jobs: Generally software companies prefer ECE over EEE. All the best.
