Both history and geography are good. It depends on your interest and the purpose. Most important is the teacher (I am assuming that you are receiving some coaching). The geography we studied was up to 9th class in school and we were always taught with a globe in front on the table. Geography is a very logical subject like mathematics and for a logical-minded person, the subject can be grasped with ease; it was also scoring. In my days, geography was not a subject in IAS examination. History was a subject in UPSC and was scoring too. So many science students used to take history and international law as subjects for these All India Services examination. Learning history requires remembering dates, places, names, treaties, organisations, wars, etc. A good memory is an asset for any scholar regardless of the purpose for which he/she is studying history: competitive examination, degree or knowledge. I have always found history bulkier or more voluminous than geography.
