Political science is a field which deals mostly with practical and empirical aspects (except few topics in political science like classical political theory). Whereas philosophy is more abstract, normative and prescriptive in orientation. Philosophy seeks to find answers behind why factor, like why particular phenomenon whether social, political or economic is happening and its roots and origins and endeavors to bring it closer to ideal situation. Whereas Political Science is the field where one is supposed to engage into disinterested research refraining from any personal prejudices and preferences to explain ongoing political phenomenon. In terms of wideness and expanse, Philosophy is much broader stream than political science. Philosophy has broad contours touching all fields of humanities right from history, sociology, and economics to culture.
