Scope is a very irrelevant term, since it depends on aptitude and temperament. Most people would consider animation a tougher art and needing more preparation, hence the so called 'scope' would be better in a tougher art for most good artists. Luckily for you, at Graduation level usually you would study both animation and vfx under the same degree in most universities. Wish you the best for your career.
