Traditionally, those who do not get admission in MBBS, go for BDS. But now a days, there is a huge scope for BDS if you can have your own clinic with modern equipment. Plain MBBS will not do unless you follow it up with MD/MS. If you compare salaries in hospitals, MBBS will always get higher remunerations compared to BDS. The thing that matters the most is college from where you pursue your medical program be it BDS or MBBS. Either go for any good govt college or private universities like Santosh University, JIPMER ,Pondicherry etc. Good luck!
