I think you should check faculty members, hostel facilities and placement details of both the colleges. Please think of a better branch for you. I hope it will help you.

Obviously, look out for NIT as there is no stand for state level colleges in front of the national level college.

You should take admission in a government college. It is much better for good placements.

I think you should go for the govt. college with 5400 rank in WBJEE because this is what you will get. The chance of getting admission in any of the NITs with 47000 rank in JEE Mains are null. So, don't waste your time in expecting NITs with 47000 rank if you are a general candidate. Go for WBJEE and you will definitely get admission in a govt. college.
