Here, I can understand you are confused between the branch and college. If you are giving preference to the placements or career opportunities. So, no doubt, CSE is the best. But there maybe another perspective of this. It doesn't matter what branch you have you can still learn programming and some computer Science basics and can get a decent job as a software engineer. In the colleges like NIT you will get a better environment. Some better minds from the whole nation at a same place can make a difference. So, choose your move wisely. Good Luck.
