Which is better: an MBA from abroad or IIMs?

MBA from abroad is not as good as IIMs.The major reason for this is as follows. 1. High fees- people go abroad by spending lakhs and lakhs and end up with a lot of debts. 2.Banks loans-The chances of getting loans for doing MBA from foreign university is very high such a huge amount will not be provided by banks in our country. 3.The issue of stay back- Majority of the countries give stay back for students after the course for just 1 or 2 years. In those 1 or 2 years, the amount spent for education is not able to get back. 4.Quality of IIMs- IIMs are world recognized. Lot of foreign international relationship exists with IIMs all over India. 5.Job- Job opportunity after passing out from IIMS are always higher than the other. 6.less fees of IIMS as compared to foreign university. All these factors indicate that IIMs are better than foreign universities.

This is a tricky question but totally depend on your expectations. As an educational counselor, I will suggest that studying abroad is always a better idea then in own country but to debate on my point I can give you few statistics. *World best Business School rankings All the IIM 's rest above 150 rank (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017). There are more than 100 Universities better than IIM's. *Salary IIM-Ahmedabad students of flagship PGP 2014-16 batch have grabbed 39% higher international package of Rs.1.02 crore (USD 153,568) as compared to last year which stood at Rs. 73.89 lakhs (USD 110284) as per the final audited placement report of the institute. The average salary of IIM Rs. 49.00 lakhs ($73580) University of Texas at Austin Average Salary $147,000 per year Stanford University Average Salary $140,553 per year Here we can clearly see that average salary by studying in USA is nearly double. *Competition Living in India is competitive and we all are having very limited opportunities so not making for IIMs entrance is not new but when we see other parts of the world also there are more prospects for same people. Although it is not very easy to get admission in abroad also but for brilliant students, it is not difficult also.
