Basically, there is no difference in PGDM or MBA. We are studying the same thing and the placements are same for both MBA and PGDM. PGDM and MBA have an equal status in our country. But some companies will look for a Master's degree rather than Post Graduate Diploma. The course is some what equal. The major difference comes when you get a job. The salary package for a MBA graduate will be more than that of a PGDM student. The difference is seen in major MNCs. PGDM students are sometimes given fewer opportunities as compared to MBA students.
