Firstly, find you interest, work on you goal, do purse CS in engineering but never forget to develop interest in it as well. Because, trust me, it requires a lot of knowledge to succeed in this field.

ECE is the best branch as this branch is the becoming in great demand and all thanks goes to make in India project. Recently Samsung has opened a world class manufacturing plant in India that generated lots of jobs in India.

CS is the best branch for engineering and CS has a good placement package around 4.8 LPA, but please don't choose any branch on the basis of its placement records, you need to choose that branch which you are interested in.
