Not many colleges offer software engineering. The top IITs offer computer science, but do not offer information technology. Most top NITs offer both Computer Science and Information Technology. So, the best college for software engineering is Top IITs and top NITs. Also, there is BITS Pilani and a couple of other private institutes.
