Both are of two different paths, both of them have their importance but comparatively, competition for getting a very good college for MS is less so, many prefer doing MS. You can do M.Tech also by qualifying GATE exam. After M.Tech, you can do Ph.D or a job in any company. After B.Tech, you can MBA by qualifying exams like CAT or MAT. After that, go for a job. If you get a good score in GATE exam above 96% then you can get a chance to get into a good college like IIT.
