1) Each and Every course has their special benifits, it only depends, what we want to become 2) if want to become scientist, do Science core courses. 3) do diploma/B.Tech/MCA, to become engineer 4) doing M.Sc, further u need M.Tech/PhD to become engr/scientist

Pros and Cons: B.Tech : 4 years. M.Sc. 3 + 2 = 5 years. Course fee: B.Tech will be higher almost. Chances of getting placed in a IT/Product/Management company are higher through campus placements once you complete B.Tech. Remember you have to choose among the best of Colleges. You will start with a salary package of 20 - 25 thousand per month. I have few of my friends who are earning upto 60,000 per month with promotions and no PG degree. Once u start performing the company will give you options of doing your M.Tech or MBA side by side. On the other hand the craze for Economics has reduced nowadays and the domain needs more people. So the demand is higher so will be the salary :) Though I'm not sure about the exact salary ask a Professor or you can get guidance from any senior person from the domain who is in the related field.

M.Sc is a PG degree, which can be done after B.Sc and apart from M.Sc Engineering and B.Sc, both have good placement opportunities.
