Go for engineering. It does't mean that engineering is the best. But because it has many option for job opportunities. Both career are good but B.Sc. has limited number of choices for jobs. While engineering has lot more in jobs. And it is has growing industries which recruit the candidate. But I suggest don't go with advice from anyone. Just listen to your self. Go in which you have interest.

If you are an average student then i would suggest you to go for B.sc because it's easier than engineering and on the other hand average students in engineering who don't improvise their study will end up with a lot of backlogs but if you think that you are smart or you can cope up with engineering study then go for it.

To be quite honest, there is no one correct answer. If you're looking to pursue a career in research work and publications then opt for B.Sc whereas engineering is concerned more with practical applications. It is also worth noting that one can venture into different fields after doing engineering by doing an MBA or even LL.B for that matter.

Both degrees have equal importance. Due to an overwhelming number of students wanting to get a job right after college, B.Tech is the go-to degree. In certain cases, B.Tech is better due to the fact that job availability is easy, subjects are more technical, the exposure is greater. B.Tech is also a sub-professional degree that can easily lead into an MBA or an M.Tech or even an MS+Ph.D from universities abroad and in India. The options are various, and this is probably why this is chosen on a much larger scale. On the other hand, B.Sc would limit you to the education and research fields. Additionally, if you applied abroad, you'd need another year's educational qualification as the requirement in 12+4 years of education for a Master's degree. Job availability is very limited as the technical companies focus more on B.Tech. If you have not yet selected your degree, think through regarding how you want your future to shape up to be. If you have interest in going into a teaching/research profile, B.Sc would be good enough, and so would B.Tech. But if you also want to keep the option of getting a job that is not related to education/research necessarily, B.Tech would be a far better choice.
