Which is tougher to crack: SNAP or XAT?

Tough is just a relative term. There is nothing called tougher to crack or easy to crack. This view depends upon the preparation of the exam you are giving. There are a number of exams conducted in India for the MBA type courses. Exams like CAT, XAT, GMAT, MAT, IBSAT, NMAT, SNAP, etc. have some minor tweaking and variations apart from the main sections. Each of these exams has a quantitative aptitude, verbal reasoning, logical reasoning and data interpretation, apart from GK or essay writing section in some of the exams. So, you have to prepare accordingly for these exams either by taking coaching classes or correspondence course or by self-preparation or by following recommended books. After you have prepared for the most difficult level questions, you may try to get some question banks for the specific exam you are targeting either offline mode I.e. books on exams or online mode i.e. free question banks websites or paid question banks for practice.

Both the exams are conducted for top B-schools of the country namely XLRI and Symbiosis, so both are quite difficult but with preparation no exam is difficult to crack. While talking about SNAP and XAT, both have extra subject knowledge of general awareness which makes both of them more difficult but as compared to SNAP, XAT is more difficult as it involves deeper concept of decision making, quantitative aptitude and English that the candidate needs to go through. It has less number of questions than SNAP but that does not make them comfortable. To prepare for XAT you must be able to learn the basics of quantitative aptitude, good command over English and brief study about the general awareness.

First of all, no exam is easy till the time we do not work hard. But, as in comparison, both the exams are for the top B-Schools of India. Both the exams such as XAT and SNAP are tougher because both the exams have an extra subject that is General awareness. As far as preparation is concerned, I will give the layout which you can follow. Here it is hope it helps- First of all, you need to know how strong your basics are as you might have had a gap in between the studies of Mathematics, English and Grammar. So, I would suggest you to solve few past XAT or SNAP papers just to know where you stand. By the end of this practice, you will know your strong and weak zones. Now, coming to your medium and strong areas, just go through the basics ones and daily solve like 5-10 problems from them to keep in touch till D- day comes.
