Its totally depends upon your keen interest in the field and you have to first introspect yourself and you have to decide to go for which course. Now come to the point that which course you should go for in my opinion you can go for the mechanical B.Tech from SRM because mnc's and many other top organisation do visit for the campus and placements for the students and its ranking is among top 20 institutes (private) in india if you have interest in mech branch you can definitely go for it. Now for B.Tech aeronautical engineering if you have interest in it you can go for it from MIT manipal or SRM Chennai too provide education in aeronautical engineering, you can again choose SRM for it. Or if you want to go for MIT Manipal, it is also a good ranked an good educational institutes you can decide now in which field and institute you want to join. Cheers!

MIT and SRM are very well known institutions in terms of educational facilities and placement arrangements. As per "India Today" ranking for Engineering Universities/Colleges, MIT-Manipal holds 12th rank whereas SRM holds 8th. Coming on to the streams of study, B.Tech in Aeronautical is confined to few aviation sectors whereas B.Tech in Mechanical is like an ocean of opportunities. Mechanical engineering students can apply for almost every type of engineering jobs in India (mother of all Engineering streams for a reason). On the other hand aeronautical engineering students, being semi-mechanical has lesser job opportunities. After doing B.Tech in Aero you can get job in aviation field (private sector) but with a very less pay scale, but there are some government organizations which asks for applications for aero field Engineers such as ISRO, NAL, ADE, GTRE, etc. Since aviation sector is still developing, it will take few more years for Aero Engineers to find better opportunities. So, according to me, doing B.Tech in mechanical from SRM, Chennai is a better idea than doing B.Tech in aeronautical from MIT.
