Both are among top 3 colleges for CSE department. I can throw some light in terms of various factors: Campus spread across a vast area full of greenery and just 5 hours from Delhi. All kind of lab facilities provided in the campus for CSE. Students are not only academics oriented but also involved in a lot of co-curricular activities. 4 fest held throughout the year BOSM, OASIS, INTERFACE, APOGEE. Some insight about the placements are: Flow traders-80 lakhs Uber - 40 lakhsNutanix - 40 LPA Goldman Sachs- 31 lakhs App dynamic - 30 lakhs Myntra & amazon - 29 lakhs

Though, both are top tier colleges I would suggest to go for IIT Bombay. The reasons are simple- 1. Brand value 2. Better student capital as you need to get a JEE rank of less than 300 The placements at IIT Bombay CSE department are easily the best in the country, along with IIT D. There are several students who opt for entrepreneurship/ MS or MBA but those who vie for placements get decent jobs. Almost 100% of the eligible and interested students get placed with an average CTC of close to 10 LPA. The creme-de-la-creme of the IIT B CSE department manage to get jaw dropping salaries from MNC's like Facebook, Microsoft, Oracle, Google and other software firms. The talent in coding at IIT B is phenomenal and there are several world class coders who have graduated. IIT B also has a fest called Mood Indigo which is one of the largest fests inn India. Now, coming to BITS Pilani's CSE we can certainly say that the placements and the intellectual capital is good. BITS is one of the top 10 engineering colleges of India and has a legacy behind it. The average CTC for the batch is around 7 LPA but several students rake in close to 20LPA and above especially those who are adept in quantitative skills and coding. The entrepreneurial spirit is somewhat lesser than that at IIT and the faculty at BITS is also a notch lower that that at IIFT. In terms of student life, both the colleges are at par and have excellent residential facilities. In terms of location IIT B has an advantage but location shouldn't be considered a parameter to choose between the two. So, overall, I would say IIT B is maybe a notch or two above BITS due to its brand value and excellent recognition globally.
