There's no much difference between the two engineering colleges in contention. Both of them have similar brand value and faculty for CSE stream. Comparing them on the specific parameters: Location: In terms of location also both are situated in the Delhi/NCR making it congenial from a placement perspective as well. Fee structure: MAIT being a part of a public university and will have a lower fee as compared to JIIT which is a private university. Faculty: JIIT boasts of more Ph.D holders and faculty with multiple citations under their name. Placements: Placements of both colleges are similar with respect to CSE. Generally, tier 2 software firms, mass recruiters like TCS and Accenture flock the campus. Students who have exceptional credentials in coding are able to secure better placements. Certain auditing companies like EnY, Parametric and KPMG also visit JIIT giving it a more diverse placement profile. The average CTC of MAIT is around 4 LPA. Whereas, for JIIT, it is around 5 LPA. So, not much to choose. Both colleges manage to place around 75-80% of the batch via on-campus recruitment. Student life: MAIT has a great technology fest called Techsurge and cultural fest called Mridang. Also, it has an active IEEE chapter. Making it slightly more vibrant than Jaypee. Alumni network: Both these engineering colleges are relatively new and can't boast of great alumni support as we speak, though it is improving.
