NIT-Surathkal is better placed with NIRF ranking of 22 as against rank 34 for NIT Warangal. Coming back to the placements scenarios for CSE:- The comparison can be done for both of them below.

However, it's quite tough to say because both the NITs are top NITs, but somehow NIT Warangal is ranked lower in terms of placements on the basis of a number of offers and average package. Here is the shortest comparision between two: NIT Surathkal Intake:- 108 Average package:- 10lpa Highest package:-75lpa Recruiters:- GMR, Foster, Oil Tanking, Citi Group, Tce, Wapros, SAB Miller, Google Facebook. NIT Warangal Average package:- 8lpa Highest package:-64lpa Recruiters:- Microsft, Amazon, Intuit, Citi Group, Walmart, Wapros, SAB Miller, Google, Tesla, Facebook. Coming to overall development, NIT-Surathkal has seen better-dedicated support for all-around growth in core technical skill development along with grooming students for industry oriented protocols. Both the colleges are pretty good and are among the top NITs. However, NIT-Surathkal is ranked higher by National Institute Ranking Framework. NIT-Surathkal ranks 22nd while NIT-Warangal ranks at 34th position. Coming to placements: For CSE in NIT Warangal, last time (2016-17) out of 108 students who applied to placements from CSE department, 107 students were placed meaning 90.1 percent placement for CSE which is quite an impressive number. For CSE, the minimum salary offered was 3.3 LPA. The average salary was 13.5 LPA and the maximum salary was 20 LPA. All these figures suggest pretty good placements at NIT-Warangal. For NIT Surathkal, last time (2016-17) out of 94 students who applied to placements from CSE department, all the 94 students were placed meaning 100 percent placement for CSE which is quite an impressive number. For CSE, the minimum salary offered was 4 LPA. The average salary was 12.8 LPA and the maximum salary was 25 LPA. All these figures suggest pretty good placements at NIT-Surathkal too. Both the colleges are good, decide for yourself considering all the factors.
