Look, these fields tell that a person possesses artistic approach and decides to do something creative. These subjects look identical in nature, but have a major difference. Visual communication is a broader subject. It means, it has a wide scope. From the artistic work of designing, it also focuses upon the communication which is very much important in every field. It focuses on your creativity and communication. However, animation has limited approach as it just focus upon your creation and how you make visual representation. So, it is up to you, how you make a gap between both and choose only one. Multimedia is content that uses a combination of different content forms such as text, audio, images, animations, video and interactive content. Multimedia contrasts with media that use only rudimentary computer displays such as text-only or traditional forms of printed or hand-produced material. So, right from the definition, it is quite clear that one should prefer the multimedia field. Multimedia will offer a variety of job opportunities in the field of animation.
