Both of these are most important exams for every graduate students. It totally depends on you, if you are weak in Technical subjects, then GATE may be difficult for you, and if you are weak in Aptitude, then CAT may be difficult for you. I have given both the exams, according to me I will say that CAT is more difficult than GATE. Because, GATE has its specific portion of technical subjects that are not there in CAT, you can’t even think what would be there in CAT Exam.

Both are almost different. CAT exam for admission in Business school and syllabus is LR, DI and others. GATE Exam for admission in M .Tech or PSU Jobs. GATE syllabus is totally different from different branches. Syllabus is subject wise and GK. Cannot judge difficulty level between them.
