Both institutes are premiere B-Schools of India. NMIMS is much known for marketing and JBIMS much known for finance. But MBA/MMS in any discipline from either institute is good. Both institutes are in Mumbai and industry exposure for students is good in both the institutes. Placements wise JBIMS has a slight edge (placement wise every major financial service company, major banks do come for placements with sought-after profiles. You might not get investment trading desk directly as compared to A, B, and C of the IIMs ) over NMIMS. With regards to admissions perspective, both the institutes have a very high cut-off in CAT. JBIMS accepts MH-CET scores as well and NMIMS accepts NMAT. Check the below link for comparing course fee, placements, students review, facilities offered, seats offered on the below link:-

A slight correction, NMIMS Mumbai offers MBA degree and not MMS. There are some major parameters one must consider in order to take a proper decision about taking admission in a particular B-school. Those are as follows:- 1. Infrastructure: NMIMS is the clear winner here. 2. Fees: JBIMS wins, as the infrastructure provided by NMIMS comes at a huge price. 3, ROI: Again, JBIMS is the clear winner as it provides an excellent ROI, unlike NMIMS. 4. Brand name: Both are established brands, though JB wins as it is well-known as the CEO factory of India. 5. Campus life: Nothing great to mention; both are at par. 6. Industrial exposure: Both, being located in Mumbai, provide top-notch exposure. 7. Rankings: JBIMS wins as it ranks under the top ten whereas NMIMS isn't too far behind; it ranks under top 15 B-schools in India. 8. Placements: JBIMS wins again. 9. Crowd: The diversity isn't great at JBIMS as the admission criteria focus solely on the exam scores and not on the profile. Here, NMIMS wins by a mile. Bottom line: Choose JBIMS as the first option and keep NMIMS as a backup option. I hope it helps!
