According to my opinion, Loyola College is good for pursuing B.Com as Loyola College provides you with the full time degree course in comparison of institute of distance and open learning. UGC has elevated Loyola College to the status of College of Excellence for the innovative teaching and quality research activities and for holistic development. The courses are of international standards and the facilities are world-class. Loyola is amongst top five colleges in India. Mandatory internships and training programmes and good record of placement, sharpening the mind of students through employability skills and innovative courses, financial support to economically poor students and seasoning the heart through service learning (students clubs and outreach). Institute with more than 8000 students in 100 acres of land, Loyola is also well-known for the creative and inspiring activities of the students in the campus. There are sports, cultural and spiritual activities that keep the campus life endearing and inspiring. Therefore, its better to go with Loyola than Institute of Distance and Open Learning.

According to me, Loyola College, Chennai is much better than the Institute of Distance and Open Learning, University of Mumbai because of the most important reason which is while sitting in the class of college we get first-hand knowledge from the faculty members and we tend to improve while socializing and gaining experience in college while we cannot do these things while sitting at home and learning through the distance learning courses. Placement provided by the Loyola College, Chennai: The placements were good as many MNCs came to our campus for recruitment like Google, Facebook, World Bank, Goldman Sachs, etc. The highest package for BA economics was 9 LPA offered by Mackenzie and the lowest was 2.8 LPA. We go through an intensive training program for our placements and it was a good experience. Companies, usually, prefer the students who have gone to college and gained knowledge rather than the students of distance learning course. I hope that you will take the above-mentioned reasoning while considering the college. Hope it helps.
