Which option is better for pursuing MCA: distance or regular and why?

I would suggest, one should go for a regular degree. If you are going to the campus, then do choose one which is among the best and provide campus placement. Getting a job for a fresher outside the college is tough. You will eventually get the job, but the process is difficult. In addition to that, the college teachers to an extend make you learn stuff. If there are no obstacles such as financial and time issues, a regular degree is the best way to go. Distance education is good, but there are some disadvantages too. In distance education, most of the time you'll be all alone. You'll be alone on the path of degree and your power will go down and down. Since there won't be a group of classmates, you can't enjoy the experience of learning. If you get stuck in a project, there won't be any much needed help. Distance education is not valued much if you are thinking of doing a Master's degree. It will become a degree for name sake.

Mode of examination and syllabus for obtaining the MCA degrees through distance and regular mode is same. Duration of the regular and distance learning MCA course is also same. But it is found that market acceptance of regular MCA graduates is higher in comparison to MCA by distance learning. Most of the recruiters feel that MCA by distance learning program is not very rigorous and these students knowledge, skills and depth of knowledge is lesser in comparison to regular MCA graduates. Regular MCA students are able to learn better because of better faculty, inter-student collaboration and alumni network. It is also found that regular MCA students are selected by entrance examination, therefore, quality of students is better and filtered in comparison to MCA distance learning students. MCA distance learning program is ideal in case you are unable to pursue regular education due to personal conditions and constraints.

Master's in Computer Application is a course to be done after BCA or Bachelors in any computer field. As it is a Masters course so its curriculum is totally in depth of the all topics which need guidance and practical work. Regular MCA is preferable in comparison to distance learning. By regular classes one can learn more hacks and methods from teachers which is not possible in distance mode. Many top colleges such as VIT, Amity, KIIT and SRM offer this course and one can get good salary after this course.
