If you focused on your core area, i.e. law, even it has a good salary. A good lawyer even in the field of IPR, drafting or litigation is well paid. What do you mean by better what is your point of comparison? A MBA grad that is not from tier 1 B school gets average salary of 15000 per month same is the case of a lawyer.

As per current market trends best salaries are offered to MBA grads with specialization in Marketing or Finance. In both these specializations your LLB degree will be nearly a waste degree. MBA HR is somewhat aligned to law particularly in area of industrial relations. But salaries for HR professional is not the best in Indian Industries.
