Undoubtedly, BCA is better than B.Sc as after BCA we can get a job in almost all the top tech giants in India.

In the academic context, IT or software degrees such as B.Tech in CSE or IT/ BCA/B.Sc in IT or CS are the undergraduate degree programmes that prepare students to meet the computer technology needs of business, government, healthcare, schools, and other kinds of organisations. BCA is a job oriented degree course and you can go for a job immediately after BCA in small and medium-size IT companies. Unfortunately, Indian IT industry does not prefer BCA for entry level developer and tester's role. BCA graduates may get a junior developer or application support jobs. Syllabus of BCA and B.Sc in IT is similar up to 80 to 90% at various universities. Courses of computer languages, data structure, databases, and networking, etc. are common. BCA primarily focused on the field of computer applications, whereas, B.Sc in IT degree programme primarily focused on the subjects with more mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing rather than emphasising specific technologies. Market acceptance of BCA is little more in comparison to B.Sc in IT. Both degrees can only help you to get only the entry level jobs and will require the acquisition of PG degrees such as MCA and M.Sc in IT for a meaningful career. B.Tech in CSE graduate specialises in the theory of computation and design of computational systems. CSE graduates are trained to integrate several disciplines such as information technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Software Design, etc. The CSE graduates are mainly involved in the development of software and hardware systems of various aspects of computing for products, systems and Information systems. B.Tech in CSE is an engineering degree and treated as higher in comparison to BCA and B.Sc in CS/IT. In fact, it is the de-facto the highest accepted degree in Indian IT industry. B.Tech in CSE graduates are paid the highest among three degrees.
