M.Sc Microbiology is a two year course. Eligibility for this is a B.Sc Degree from a recognized university with two combination of subjects' home Science, human genetics, nutrition and dietetics, botony, zoology, biochemistry, biotechnology, plant protection, microbiology, dairy sciences, agriculture and horticulture, fisheries and public health. So you can choose from these wide range of subjects. Best of luck.

There are some institutions providing microbiology at graduation level while others provide at Masters level. Either way you will benefit if you had zoology and microbiology in graduation.

As per my experience and opinion for doing M.Sc in microbiology, you have to choose Biology as a compulsory subject in B.Sc for graduation degree. If you have Biology in your graduation degree, then you can pursue in M.Sc in microbiology, because in microbiology there is biology as a compulsory subject.

B.Sc in Biology or Microbiology will be an ideal choice. But I would suggest pursuing B.Sc. In Biology in case you change your mind later about the subject.
