It depends on the cut-off score. If your counseling takes place in the first two days, then there are high chances for you to choose your preferred college. In my opinion, it depends on your interest, more than the opportunity in a specific industry. MBA is a management course and it is totally different from the engineering course. You will know where your interest lies once you get insight on the specializations. Right now there is more opportunity in marketing and sales and most of the companies offer marketing and sales role. Once you start your MBA course you will know which specialization to choose, instead of choosing a specialization based on the opportunities available.

If SSN is your clear option, you could secure the admission under management quota by participating in our admission process. There is no difference in fee structure in SSN whether it is government quota or management quota. The selection of elective comes at the beginning of 3rd semester and hence we advise you to keep the decision pending till you complete 1st and 2nd semesters. Exposure to various functional areas of management, understanding the type of opportunities available in the market and along with your mentor advice will help you to make a decision. There is no hard and fast rule, it depends on your aptitude, ability and skill level. Best wishes.
