About MOUSE
MOUSE is also called a computer Mouse which is a handheld pointing device. Mouse detects two-dimensional motion relative to a surface. This motion is normally translated into the motion of a pointer on a screen or monitor. This allows a smooth control of the graphical user interface of the computer.
In 1968 the first-ever public launching happened of a MOUSE controlling a computer system. These MICE originally used two separate wheels to track the movement across the surface.
Out of these two wheels, one was in the X-dimension and another wheel was in the Y-dimension.
However, in next coming years after this launch, the standard design for MOUSE was shifted to use a ball rolling on a surface to notice motion.
This MOUSE used optical sensors that had no moving parts and these were modern MICE. All MICE were connected to a computer by a cable. However, these new mice were wireless and only depended on short-range radio communication with the connected system.
To move the cursor computer MOUSE had one or more buttons that allowed their operations as a selection of menu items on the computer screen.
These MICE mostly featured other elements like touch surfaces and scroll wheels that enabled additional control and dimensional input in the computer system.
MOUSE History
The initial use of this term MOUSE to computer pointing device that we know today was in Bill English’s July 1965 publication named “computer-aided display control”. It was originated from its similarity to the shape and size
