SSA (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan)SSA focuses on increasing access to education, enrollment, and retention of all children in school as well as improving the quality of education.SSA ensures that every child with special needs, irrespective of the kind, category, and degree of disability, is provided a meaningful and quality education.SSA has adopted a zero rejection policy. This means that no child having special needs should be deprived of the right to education and taught in an environment, which is best, suited to his/her learning needs. Integration ModelIntegrative learning is an approach where the learner brings together prior knowledge and experiences to support new knowledge and experiences.By doing this, learners draw on their skills and apply them to new experiences at a more complex level.Medical ModelThe medical model is used to justify a wide range of educational strategies in special education, and it has a major influence on special education methods and strategies.This model is based on the view that all learning problems are the result of some ORGANIC disorder or disease.The medical model looks at a person's impairment first and focuses on the impairment as the cause of disabled people being unable to access goods and services or being able to participate fully in society.Multi-Option ModelThe multi-option education structure includes regular schools, EGS/AIE (Education Guarantee Scheme/Alternative and Innovative Education), and home-based education.Multi-Options is a teaching methodology that allows students to choose the format in which they will attend classThe multi-option model has methods, approaches, and strategies which successfully IMPLEMENT the SSA policy in order to achieve the highest goal of inclusive education for all.International ModelA world-class education is an international educationInternational education is about the mobility of students and scholars who go to another part of the world to study, research, or teach.Therefore, for the education of CWSN (Children With Special Needs), the concept of Inclusive Education as laid down in SSA was based upon Multi-Option Model.
