Under the scheme, RS 10,000 per person was provided to 2.47 lakh washermen(82,347), barbers(38,767) and tailors(1,25,926). In total Rs.247 crore was transferred to their bank accounts under financial liability so that bankers cannot use the money to offset the loan repayment balances.
