In the short STORY 'The Adventures of TOTO' by Ruskin Bond, grandfather decided to take Toto along with him in a big canvas BAG when he WENT to collect his pension from Saharanpur. When the ticket collector was checking grandfather's ticket, Toto peeped out of the bag and scared him by giving him a huge grin. This irritated and annoyed the ticket collector who started arguing with grandfather to pay the dog's full fare. Grandfather tried to CONVINCE him that it was a monkey and not a dog but it was of no use. Thus, grandfather ended up paying a sum of Rs.3 to bring Toto along with him.
