What is Brighton Rockers Roller Derby mean?

Brighton Rockers Roller Derby (BRRD) is a women's flat track roller derby league based in Brighton in East Sussex, England. Founded in 2010, the league consists of three teams, which compete against teams from other leagues. Brighton Rockers is a member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).

In March 2012, Brighton was accepted as a member of the United Kingdom Roller Derby Association (UKRDA), and in 2013 it played in the first UKRDA Southern Tournament, which it finished in fourth place after a narrow loss to Bristol Roller Derby.

The team suffered a setback in July 2012, when its team kit was stolen from a member's car. However, by January 2013, it was ranked in the top eight leagues in the UK.

In January 2015, Brighton Rockers entered the WFTDA Apprentice Program. Brighton Rockers became a full member of the WFTDA in July 2017.
