Since the relevant Act of Parliament was passed in India in March of this year.On March 23, 2019, a committee comprised of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, and Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra MAHAJAN appointed retired Supreme COURT judge Pinaki Chandra Ghose as India's first Lokpal, with members appointed on March 27, 2019.
